Our local village of Broad Haven hosted its popular annual carnival recently.
It is always a popular local event and seems to be getting bigger and more successful with each passing year. This years theme was "Down on the Farm" and many of the children dressed up and paraded along the seafront, to the delight of the crowd. The sun shone and with the help of such an enthusiastic crowd, stalls and displays manned by local volunteers, were a great hit. The duck herding and sheep racing were especially popular, resulting in a healthy amount of funds being raised for local causes.
One of these is the "Boardwalk" a path through the eastern side of Broad Haven that tracks through some lovely environmental wetland. This is due to be opened later in August. See future blog.
