Timber Hill has its own delightful small lake located on the opposite side of the valley and is either 10 minutes on foot, or can be reached by car. It was stocked with a variety of coarse fish many years ago and now contains fish of the highest quality. Roach, rudd, perch, tench and bream as well as common, mirror and grass carp all thrive in the lake and some of our visitors have recorded successful catches upwards of 30lbs. Lake rules below.
In addition to providing superb fishing, the lake is a peaceful focal point which forms part of a circular walk around the perimeter of the Timber Hill estate. To the west are wonderful views over the beach and St Bride’s Bay towards Skomer Island and from here some spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed.
The Timber Hill Fishing Lake is now open to the wider public on a day-pass basis! We’ve created a small hardstanding car park, firm gravel paths & boardwalk, covered picnic benches and all-weather fishing platforms, so the lakeside is easier to access and enjoy year-round. The perfect spot to relax and unwind whether you're fishing or just recharging.
